Botanical Bundle Dye Workshop
Time & Location
About the Event
Immerse yourself in the wonders of natural color! Alex Foster of Foster Fiber will lead us through the basics of the plant dyeing process by exploring the local flora of Fiddlehead Farm. Pokeberries, Black walnut, Tansy, Marigold, oh my! The colors are endless. This workshop provides methods, materials, and experimentation necessary to capture nature's color in your own backyard. And you'll get to bring home your own handcrafted botanically dyed fabric! Check out Alex's beautiful work at www.fosterfiber.com !
Wheelchair accessibility: The workshop will be taking place outside. There is a gravel driveway and the rest of the landscape is lawn or mulch, with some dips here and there but no real hills. We live in an old farmhouse that we have been working on since March, and our bathroom has a very narrow doorway, and there is a step going down to get into the house, and a step to get into the bathroom. We have not constructed our outdoor composting toilet yet (when we do, we will make sure it is wheelchair accessible). We are happy to help assist anyone who uses a wheelchair in and out of the house and around the property as needed.
